Setting Up Your Email Account in Eudora 5These instructions will help you setup your email account. Customers' email addresses end in one of the following three domains:
Locating Account ConfigurationIn the main window, go to the Tools menu and select Options.
Select the Getting Started category in the list at the left. For Real name: Enter your real name. When you email other people, this is the name they will see in the "From" line of your messages. For Return address: Enter your full email address. For Mail Server (Incoming):
For Login Name (also known as your username): If your email address ends in clergy.net, your username is your full email address, i.e. username@clergy.net. Otherwise, your username is the first part of your email address (before the @ sign). For SMTP Server (Outgoing):
Clear the checkbox next to Allow authentication.
Select the Checking Mail category in the list at the left. For Mail Server:
For Login Name (also known as your username): If your email address ends in clergy.net, your username is your full email address, i.e. username@clergy.net. Otherwise, your username is the first part of your email address (before the @ sign). Check the checkbox next to Save password.
Select the Incoming Mail category in the list at the left. For Server configuration, select POP. Clear the checkbox next to Leave mail on server. For Authentication style, select Passwords.
Select the Sending Mail category in the list at the left. For Return address, user your full email address. For SMTP server:
Clear the checkbox next to Allow authentication.
You should now be able to check your mail by clicking the Check Mail button on the toolbar.
