Email Account in Netscape 6, Netscape 7, or MozillaThese instructions will help you setup your email account in Netscape 6, Netscape 7, or Mozilla. Customers' email addresses end in one of the following three domains:
Locating Account ConfigurationIn the main window, go to the Edit menu and select Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings.
Deleting Old AccountsIt may be helpful to delete old and incorrectly configured email accounts before adding new ones. To do so:
Repeat these steps for other accounts you want to delete.
Creating a New AccountIn the Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings window, click the Add Account button.
The wizard begins by asking you what type of account you want to set up. Select Email account and click Next.
The wizard then asks for your name and email address. Enter your real name. When you email other people, this is the name they will see in the "From" line of your messages. Then enter your complete email address and click Next.
Select POP as the incoming server type. For Incoming server:
The wizard asks you for your User Name. If your email address ends in mem.net, your username is your full email address, i.e. username@mem.net. Otherwise, your username is the first part of your email address (before the @ sign). Click Next.
The Account Name is the identifier by which this email account will be named. The default, your email address, is suitable, but you may want to use something like "WorldSpice Email". Type in your preference and click Next.
Click Finish.
You will see the new account you created in the list at the left side of the Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings window. Now select Outgoing Server (SMTP) in the list at the left.
For Server Name:
For Port use 25. Clear the checkmark next to Use name and password. Set Use secure connection (SSL) to Never. Click the OK button. It may also be necessary to click the Advanced button and delete other duplicate or unneeded SMTP servers.
You should now be able to check your mail by clicking the Get Msgs button on the toolbar.
